'Final Four' Rat Basketball Tournament Wednesday

May 7, 2002

SPARTANBURG, SC--The Wofford College Psychology Department will present the "Final Four" Rat Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, May 8, at 3 p.m. in the Lecture/Cinema Room of the Student Life Center.

The rats are all trained and ready to compete one-on-one.

Athletics Director Richard Johnson will be the announcer. Most Wofford psychology majors will be wearing new T-shirts (that will be for sale) showing the "muscular prowess" of the Psychology Department's Rat Basketball Team.

The students have trained the rates every day of the week (seven days a week) for the past three months for the tournament, and several practice games have been played. This task has been part of the laboratory component of Dr. Alliston Reid's course "Learning & Adaptive Behavior."
