SPARTANBURG, SC—The Carolina Panthers’ new Head Coach John Fox will welcome fans as part of the free, fun activities of “Family Day” planned for the first day of summer training camp on Saturday, July 27, at Wofford College. Training camp runs through Wednesday, Aug. 21.

The activities, presented by Wofford, Team Spartanburg, and the Panthers, will begin as practice starts at 8:50 a.m.

The Panthers Experience, a free “festival” of interactive football activities for fans of all ages, will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Activities include football toss, long snap, “Look Like a Pro,” and an inflatable obstacle course.

Free Cokes and LeBleu water will be available, and Panthers T-shirts will be given to the first 500 visitors. Other giveaways are planned, and drawings will be held for tickets to a Panthers game, a Wofford College football game and other prizes.

Coach Fox will address the fans from the practice fields toward the end of practice, around 11 a.m., when the drawings will be held. You must be at least 18 years old to register and you must be present to win. Registration will be held at the training camp site.

Following practice, as has become tradition, fans will have the opportunity to gather autographs from various Panthers players.

The opening weekend of training camp also will be highlighted by special events planned for Monday, July 29, the only night practice scheduled this season. The Top Cat cheerleaders will perform, and there will drawings for Panthers tickets and other items. Other activities are being planned. Activities will begin at 5 p.m. with the opening of the Panthers Experience. Practice will begin at 7 p.m.

Fans can watch all of the Panthers’ practices free through Wednesday, Aug. 21. Parking is free and fans should enter from North Pine Street onto Twitty Street.
