Rayner to Give Gallery Talk on S.C. Wildflowers

SPARTANBURG, SC—Wofford College professor Dr. Douglas Rayner will give a gallery talk on Friday, Oct. 25, in conjunction with the exhibit of color photographs used to illustrate his book, “A Guide to the Wildflowers of South Carolina.”

The photographs on exhibit in the Sandor Teszler Library Gallery at Wofford are those of co-author Dr. Richard D. Porcher, professor of biology and director of the herbarium at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.

The work has quickly become the standard reference for the flora of South Carolina.

The photographs will remain on exhibit through Dec. 13, 2002.

Rayner’s gallery talk will be held at 4 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
