SC Historic Tax Credit Workshop Set for Tuesday

SPARTANBURG, SC—Owners of income-producing historic buildings and certified historical homes in South Carolina may be eligible for significant new state tax credits beginning in 2003.
The South Carolina Tax Credit Workshop hosted by Wofford College will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29 to explain the new tax breaks. The event will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Olin Theater in the Franklin W. Olin Building. It is free and open to the public.
Elizabeth Johnson, Dan Elswick and Marty Doty from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History will make the presentation on the new historic tax credit legislation and will answer questions. Also attending will be members of the City of Spartanburg Board of Architectural Design and Historic Review, and city staff from the City of Spartanburg Development Services Department.
