Martin Luther King Jr. Day Convocation Set for Jan. 20

SPARTANBURG, SC—Wofford College Trustee Bernard E. Brooks, a Spartanburg businessman and community leader, will be the featured speaker at the college’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day convocation on Monday, Jan. 20.

The day’s theme will be “Joining the March: A Commitment to Service.”

Musical selections by the Voices of Victory gospel choir will be a part of the convocation, to be held at 11 a.m. in Leonard Auditorium in Main Building. The public is invited to the free program.

At 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., Wofford’s campus television station will air the documentary “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: A Historical Perspective.”

The programs are sponsored by the college Multicultural Affairs Committee.
