Wofford College Students Particpating with SCICU

SPARTANBURG, SC—Seven Wofford College students will be among those participating in activities next week to highlight South Carolina’s independent colleges.
Celebrating 50 years of service in 2003, South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Inc. has announced that Gov. Mark Sanford has proclaimed April 20-26, 2003, as Independent College and University Week in South Carolina. In addition, he has proclaimed Wednesday, April 23, as Independent College and University Day.
That day, students from private colleges from across the state, including seven from Wofford, will go to the State House to express their appreciation to the S.C. General Assembly for the S.C. Tuition Grants Program and other student aid programs. The South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Inc is sponsoring the event.
