Essay by 2003 Presidential International Scholar Dawna Quick published in magazine

SPARTANBURG, SC – An essay by Dawna Quick, Wofford College’s 2003 Presidential International Scholar, appears in the Spring 2004 issue of Abroad View magazine, a national publication distributed to more than 300 colleges and universities.

The essay, “Sunday School,” was written when Quick was traveling around the world to developing countries as the Presidential International Scholar. It describes some of her experiences in Africa. The essay received third prize in the “Beyond the City’s Northern Border” Competition at Wofford in the fall.

Abroad View, founded by Sherry Schwarz in 1998 at Middlebury College, has a circulation of 20,000, and magazines are distributed to students free of charge at more than 300 participating colleges and universities.
