SPARTANBURG, SC—South Carolina Gov. Jim Hodges and Republican gubernatorial challenger Mark Sanford have accepted invitations to make separate visits to the Wofford College campus in the final weeks of campaigning before the Nov. 5 election.

Sanford’s visit is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17, at 4:30 p.m. in Player’s Corner, between the Burwell Building and the Roger Milliken Science Center. He will address and mingle with students, faculty and staff during the 45-minute event.

Hodges is scheduled to be on campus on Monday, Oct. 21, at 4:30 p.m. in the Papadopoulos Building. He is expected to address the issue of college access and affordability. The College Board is expected to issue its annual tuition and student aid reports in Washington, D.C., that day.

The public is invited to attend the events, which are being co-sponsored by the Wofford College Public Policy Committee, the Campus Union student government organization and the Department of Government.
