SPARTANBURG, SC--The Carolina Panthers are on the prowl in Spartanburg as they hold their ninth summer training camp at Wofford College. They reported Friday, July 25, and will stay in Spartanburg through Aug. 21.

The Panthers and Team Spartanburg, the sports council of the Spartanburg Convention & Visitors Bureau, held an exciting, activity-filled opening day of practice July 26.

Various Spartanburg hotels, restaurants and other businesses are sponsoring promotional days throughout camp, providing giveaways and having drawings for prizes. See the schedule below.

“We are delighted to have the Carolina Panthers training camp returning to Wofford College and Spartanburg,” says Wofford senior vice president David Wood. “There is a great deal of excitement throughout the region about Coach Fox and his staff, and I am sure some of that energy and enthusiasm will be apparent in and around the camp.

“The Panthers Experience will once again return for young children, and we encourage all families to come out and enjoy a session of practice on campus,” Wood continues. “Wofford is pleased to be involved in bringing this opportunity to our community.” The Panthers Experience, free interactive activities for children, is open for most practices, except Sundays.
