Wofford College to hold 154th Commencement May 18
Wofford College will conduct its 154th Commencement Exercises at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 18, on the lawn of Main Building. During the ceremony, some 270 graduates will receive their diplomas, and Wofford will confer three honorary degrees. The college also will present the prestigious Algernon Sydney Sullivan and Mary Mildred Sullivan Awards to two students and two non-students. The Roger Milliken Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Science and the Philip Covington Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Humanities and Social Sciences also will be presented to faculty members.

Longleaf Holdings receives ‘Spartanburg Best Business Award’
The Wofford College Ethics and Business Class on Wednesday (May 7, 2008) recognized Longleaf Holdings USA, LLC with the “Spartanburg Best Business Award.” The class, taught by associate professor of finance Dr. Philip Swicegood and assistant professor of philosophy Dr. Nancy Williams, developed the Best Business Award to recognize local companies “who are doing well and doing good.”
