Modern Languages Multimedia Lab
The Languages Laboratory (Olin 115H) is comprised of a computer-based Languages Laboratory. We have expanded our number of Apple computer workstations and continue to have available to students printers, video capture stations, video cameras, and scanners as the department pursues its commitment to the application of technology to student language learning and technological literacy.
The languages laboratory is open for independent study from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The language laboratory is open and staffed with Student Lab Assistants from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The lab is closed the first week of classes and during exam week every semester and for any school holidays. The Student Lab Assistants serve as guides and teachers to other students as they prepare multimedia presentations and web pages for courses.
The laboratory and the student assistants are supervised by Ms. Kim Henry, departmental Macintosh Support Specialist and Multimedia Instructor. Ms. Henry provides technology instruction for student assistants as well as faculty and she oversees the general management of the departmental offices and suites. Ms. Henry is available for individual instruction by appointment. More information available at Helpful Pages for Using Applications on Modern Languages Macs.
