Study Spaces and Room Reservations

There are several study spaces in the library, most of which are available on a first come, first served basis. We ask that you do not hold spaces with your belongings for long periods of time (greater than 30 minutes). Some spaces can be reserved by Wofford students, faculty, and staff. To place a reservation, please contact Hillary Smith (x4320) at least 24 hours in advance. Reservable spaces include the following:

  • Conference Room/Classroom
  • Located on the lower level, this space seats at least 24 individuals. It has easily reconfigurable tables and chairs and a well equipped instructor station. Tablet computers can be made available. Unless reserved, this space is open in the evenings for use by groups or individuals.
  • Collaborative Seminar and Study Room
  • Located on the main level, this highly flexible space has reconfigurable tables and chairs for up to twelve persons. There is also a computer and large display on a mobile cart.
  • Research Consultation Room
Library staff have first priority for this room during the day, but it can be reserved by others. This space is located on the main level near the reference desk. Unless reserved, this space is open in the evenings for use by groups or individuals
  • Trey Kannaday Presentation Practice Room
  • Located centrally at the back of the library's lower level, the Trey Kannaday Presentation Practice Room is equipped with video recording technology that allows users to record, share, critique, and practice presentations. Priority is given to users that make reservations, and users may reserve the room for up to 3 hours. To make a reservation, email Hillary Smith or inquire in person at the circulation desk. A Wofford ID is needed to use this room.

Additional spaces for collaboration and study include the five study rooms on the lower level; the Sandbox, an area located on the main level with several flexible and semi-flexible seating arrangements and technology; dozens of carrels on the upper and lower levels, and other technology-enhanced work spaces on the main level. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you need assistance in identifying a space for the kind of work you need to do in the building.
