Chapter History

History of Nu Chi: 

Founded March 30, 1989 at Wofford College

First African- American Fraternity at USC-Upstate

Also known as “The Dark Chapter”

Mission Statement: “To enhance the college community through scholastic achievement, fraternal bond, professionalism, service and spiritual guidance.”

Nu Chi Objectives:

Promote scholastic achievement through obtaining a 2.5 GPA and graduating.

Preserve a fraternal bond by more fraternal events and brotherly love.

Enhance professionalism by more professional meetings and remaining presentable.

Increase service by reaching out to the community at least once a month.

Promote stronger spiritual guidance by worshiping together.

Achievements:

07-08 USC Upstate Chapter of the year

08-09 Wofford Chapter of the year

08-09 Wofford highest cumulative chapter GPA : 3.7
