Lacrosse

Wofford
College offers a first-class Lacrosse Club for men, and is a member of
the Southeastern Lacrosse Conference [SELC]. The team plays a rigorous
9-10 game schedule against the top teams in the region during Spring
Semester, and a 4-5 game pre-season schedule in the Fall.
Highly
qualified coaches have been hired for the program, who will conduct
all practices, and will be responsible for the daily operation of the
program. Charlie Marshall, a Princeton graduate and player, is the Head
Coach. There will be a fall program during September and October, and a
regular season program running from February to April.
There
is a required, non-refundable $500 participation fee to help defray
costs of equipment and travel, with $250 due prior to Fall practice, and
$250 due prior to Spring practice. Personal equipment, including
gloves, shoes, under-gear, socks, mouthguards, and practice uniforms
will be provided, and will become the property of the player at the end
of the year. All other equipment, including helmets, goalie gear, team
bags, game uniforms, shoulder pads, and arm pads will be provided, and
turned back in to Wofford College at the end of the year. Players must
provide their own sticks.
Practices
of approximately 90 minutes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings, with games being played on Sunday afternoons.
