Preparing for Departure

Train TravelCongratulations on your decision to study abroad! Once your application has been confirmed and accepted by Wofford and/or your study abroad partner program, you can start preparing for your term abroad. The Office of International Programs (OIP) requires that students attend all pre-departure orientations the semester prior to going abroad. Dates and times for mandatory pre-departure orientations will be provided to students at the beginning of each semester and are also included on the College Calendar and in Wofford's Daily Announcements emails. Much of the information provided in the links below will be covered during pre-departure orientation sessions; however, they are intended to complement, not replace, in-person advising and support.

If you have questions as you prepare for your term abroad, do not hesitate to contact an International Programs adviser
