Interim Calendar 2018

Interim begins on Thursday, January 4, 2018 and ends on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018.

 

Monday, March 6, 2017 Independent Student Proposals for Summer Interim 2017 due to Dr. AK Anderson by 5pm.
Monday, March 6, 2017 Faculty proposals for Interim 2018 due. 
Monday, April 10, 2017 Students expecting to propose 2018 independent projects are urged to begin discussing them with prospective faculty sponsors.

Tuesday, April 18, 2017 Interim 2018 Travel/Study Fair: 10:50AM-12PM in Main Building. Flyers will be available outside of Main Building and faculty members will offer important information sessions about their 2018 Interim Travel/Study projects.
This event is for information only, not for enrollment or other commitment in any form. Faculty will inform students of the selection criteria, due dates for any materials, and costs.
Sunday, April 30, 2017      Interim Travel Grant application deadline (first round): Students wishing to apply for a Wofford Travel Grant for Interim 2018 should submit a travel grant application online. Financial need and academic merit are the principle considerations in awarding these grants. To be considered for a merit-only grant, students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher. Awards typically range from $500-$1,500. Students who applied for an Interim Travel Grant will be notified of the status of their appliation before the Interim Travel/Study deadline.
Thursday, May 4, 2017 Students wishing to commit to one Interim Travel/Study project should submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit (paid online) and complete Interim 2018 Travel/Study Project Application no later than midnight. Students may only submit one application/deposit. Interim Travel/Study sponsors will begin reviewing applicants the following morning. 
Monday, May 8 - Thursday, September 21, 2017 Interim travel/study applications accepted on a rolling admissions basis as space allows in the travel/study project. 
Tuesday, August 1, 2017 Faculty sponsoring Interim Travel/Study projects should submit final anticipated cost to the Office of International Programs. In addition, all contracts with outside organizations should be submitted to the Business Office by this date.
Monday, September 11, 2017
Students intending to propose independent projects for Interim 2018 must secure a faculty sponsor by today. Students who fail to do so by this date are forfeiting their right to propose an independent Interim.

Students who applied for an Interim Travel Grant will be notified of the status of their application before the Interim Travel/Study deadline.

Monday, September 25, 2017 Students must submit their independent study project proposals online by 5 PM today. This deadline is firm.  
Monday, September 25, 2017 Students who plan to complete an international Community of Service project must submit their project proposal to Camille Bethea by 5PM today. This deadline is firm. 
Sunday, October 1, 2017      All applications for the Learning Work internship Interim are due by midnight. No late applications will be accepted. Any questions about the application process should be directed to the Interim Coordinator. 
Friday, October 6, 2017 Students notified of approval or disapproval of their independent study or international community of service project proposals.
Tuesday, October 10, 2017 Business Office bills all travel/study project fees to students.
Tuesday, October 17, 2017 On-campus Interim project registration on myWofford for seniors for all projects (7:30AM - midnight).
Wednesday, October 18 - Friday, October 20, 2017 On-campus Interim project registration on myWofford for all students (7:30AM - midnight).
Tuesday, October 31, 2017 Business Office bills all on-campus Interim project fees to students.
Wednesday, November 15, 2017 Interim Travel/study project fee payment deadline.
Thursday, November 30, 2017 Interim on-campus project fee payment deadline.
Tuesday, December 5 - Friday, December 8, 2017 Final Drop/Add period for on-campus Interim 2018 projects for all students through myWofford.
Tuesday, December 5, 2017 First Interim 2018 class from 11 am - noon. Mandatory class meeting (for participating projects). Syllabi will be distributed, assignments will be given for the first day of Interim. 
Friday, December 8, 2017 Last day to add/drop on-campus Interim 2018 projects through myWofford. A full refund for all project fees will be granted for schedule changes made through this date.  All registration changes made after this date must be processed in person through the Registrar's Office. For all changes made after this date, students will incur charges for both the dropped and added project, when applicable. 
Thursday, January 4, 2018 First day of Interim class.
Friday, January 5, 2018 Last day to add/drop an Interim 2018 class through the Registrar's Office. 
Wednesday, January 31, 2018 Last day of Interim class.
Tuesday, February 6, 2018 Interim 2018 Travel/Study Sponsor Debriefing Meeting (11am - noon).
Thursday, February 8, 2018 The failure to finish and submit incomplete project work to instructors by today at 5PM will result in final Fail (U) evaluation.
Monday, February 12, 2018 Final Interim grades (no incompletes) for all students are due at 5:30PM to the Registrar's Office.
