Wofford Travel Grants

Ruth and Joe Lesesne

The Ruth O. and Joab M. Lesesne Foreign Study Assistance Fund provides assistance to students participating in credit-bearing educational programs overseas. These awards were established in honor of Wofford President Emeritus Joab M. Lesesne and his wife Ruth O. Lesesne to make it possible for students to integrate a focused program of study overseas into the Wofford curriculum.

There are several grants available to students pursuing off-campus study. For an application for all Wofford Travel Grants, please click here. Please note that this application does not substitute for the Travel/Study Project Application for Interim. Financial need and academic merit are the principle considerations in awarding these grants. To be considered for merit-based only grants, students must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Students who are applying for an Interim travel grant will be informed of their travel grant application status prior to the Interim application deadline. Please note that any funding received from a travel grant cannot be used towards the Interim program deposit.

The second round deadline for Interim 2019 travel grant applications is Sunday, September 16, 2018 at midnight.
