Holten Fields 2016, Undeclared
20/20 is a first-person shooter designed with the philosophy that story comes first; every scene and interaction in the video game was scripted and storyboarded like a movie before it was animated on the computer. The game takes place in the near future of post-apocalyptic Montana, where rival factions Procon, an elitist government based on merit, and the Mekhai, an inclusive republic based on equality, fight for survival and jockey for power. Every decision the player makes in-game affects the world around him; deciding to spare or kill someone early in the campaign changes not only if they are around to influence later events, but how you are perceived by the characters around you. Based on an original story, 20/20 was developed as an “exhibition” of technical, artistic, and story-boarding skills to see how viable independent development of a video game is. The game will be showcased on April 24th, including a playable demo for all interested parties. 20/20 was developed exclusively for the Windows platform.
