David Duncan Wallace History Award

David Duncan WallaceThe History Department award is named in honor of David Duncan Wallace (1874-1951), Wofford class of 1894, Professor of History at Wofford from 1899 to 1947, and author of a three-volume History of South Carolina (1934) and A History of Wofford College (1951).

For over 40 years, the History Department has honored the memory of “Dunc” Wallace by presenting the David Duncan Wallace History Award to the best graduating senior History major.
