Dr. John McArthur

A knowledge of economics is an important part of a liberal arts education. Recent world events have shown clearly that a free and just society is based in part on free markets, a system of private property, and the rule of law. The study of economics provides students with an understanding of market processes and institutions. It also provides an understanding of how governmental policies and laws affect economic activity.
