Richardson Physical Activities Building

The Richardson Physical Activities Building is undergoing renovations to enhance the space for the use of the Athletics department and student athletes.

Training Room and Hydrotherapy Suite

The 1200 SF, one-story addition on the east end of Richardson will house a new state of the art hydrotherapy suite which will include two Grimm CRYOtherm hot/cold soaking tubs and a Hydroworx aquatic therapy pool with underwater treadmill, resistance jet technology, and an underwater camera for detailed observations and feedback to the trainers and athletes. The existing training room is being relocated to adjoin the new hydrotherapy suite, which will result in a much-needed increased size for the new training room. Supporting the “open” training area will be three staff offices, exam room, x-ray room, and storage room. An additional benefit to both staff and student-athletes will be new windows allowing natural light into the space. The space will also be equipped with four new monitors.

Football Locker Room

The existing football locker room in being expanded and upgraded. The upgrades will include new paint, carpet, ceilings, lighting, doors, graphics, and chairs, as well as repairs to existing lockers. In conjunction with the locker room expansion the equipment storage area will be slightly reconfigured, and a new high-density storage system will be provided to increase capacity and improve efficiency in the handling of equipment. In addition to the visible improvements a new supplemental mechanical unit is being provided to control moisture and improve indoor air quality.
