Innovation and Learning Fellows Grant Application

The Center for Innovation and Learning Fellows Program supports teaching and learning projects proposed by full-time tenured or tenure-track Wofford faculty. Grants during the academic year will normally carry a two-course reduction in the humanities and social sciences and a one-course reduction in the natural sciences.

Applications for a spring fellowship are due no later than the first Monday in October and no later than Friday of the second week of classes in March for a fall grant. Grant applicants will confer with his or her department chair and obtain approval for the leave. The applicant and the department must have agreed upon a plan to cover for the applicants missed classes prior to the submission of the grant and documentation of that plan must accompany the proposal when it is submitted.

Grantees will receive funding to attend and / or participate in two appropriate professional conferences during the semester of the fellowship. Additionally, grantees will receive a maximum of $1,000.00 for needed supplies and equipment to initiate this proposal. The Center will not fund the purchase of computers.

Grant applications will be reviewed and approved by the Director of the Center for Innovation and Learning and by the Center’s Advisory Committee.
