Eligibility: Program open to rising college sophomores, juniors and seniors. Priority registration offered to Wofford students with general registration for students of other colleges and universities to follow.

Measured Results
At the end of the five-week program, students will be able to:
- Define their own leadership model and be able to articulate that model to others.
- Develop solutions within a group setting that are creative and effective.
- Model problems and solutions using MS Excel, Access and other technology tools.
- Prepare, develop, and confidently present a topic to any audience.
- Effectively write executive summaries, emails, letters, and memos.
- Discuss potentially volatile global issues with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Manage a project using proven project management skills and software.
- Network with others, known and unknown, as a means to establish and maintain relationships.
- Identify and leverage their strengths, as well as appreciate and harness the strengths of others.
- Function in any environment with confident etiquette skills.
- Understand the factors and behaviors that create a personal finance strategy.
- Effectively manage their time, including planning on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Create an effective resume and interview with exceptional effectiveness.
Program Leadership
Scott Cochran, Dean of the Center for Professional Excellence at Wofford College, will lead the program. Prior to joining Wofford in June 2008, Mr. Cochran served as a vice president for UPS Capital and was responsible for Marketing and Technology, as well as UPS Capital’s credit card business. During his 20-year career in business he developed a track record of solid performance in finance, marketing, sales, and international operations. His responsibilities included offices in Europe and Asia as well as the US, which lends practical experience to his global perspective. Mr. Cochran is a 1988 graduate of Wofford and holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
