What is Boston Terrier Consulting Group?

The Boston Terrier Consulting Group is a student consulting group focused on providing businesses and organizations with strategies and solutions to improve performance.

Project Types

In 2009 – 2010, BTCG completed eight consulting projects ranging from chemical consulting to healthcare and financial services to environmental sustainability. Engagements are typically 4 to 6 weeks long and require 5 to 15 hours per week from each consultant.

Project Assignment

As new projects become available, students will be invited to attend interest meetings. Projects will be discussed, and students may decide whether or not they want to participate.

Each assignment begins with a client meeting to determine scope and objectives. From this initial meeting, consultants develop a project plan that details milestones, deliverables and timeframes. Several times during the project, consultants and clients meet in person or via conference call to discuss progress and make adjustments as necessary. The final deliverable is presented in person, typically at the client's site.
