Student Worker Program
All on-campus student employment is now managed by Career Services.
The previous division between Work-Study (paid by federal funding) and Work-Scholarship (paid by Wofford funds) will be phased out over the next year and replaced with one Student Worker Program. We ask for your patience during this transition.
What is the difference between the Federal Work-Study and Work-Scholarship Programs?Work-Study is a federally-funded program allowing students to receive a scholarship award, but he or she must complete hourly work on campus or in the community to receive the funds. The Financial Aid Office awards qualified students based on their FAFSA submission, and the Career Services Office facilitates the work placement. This program will work in tandem with the new Wofford Student Worker Program, which replaces the Work-Scholarship Program. Work-Scholarship was the program under which departments could hire part-time student workers and pay their wages with departmental or college funds, rather than federal funds.

Note: Eligibility for Federal Work-Study funds is determined by the Financial Aid Office. Please contact Financial Aid if you have questions about a student's eligibility for Federal Work-Study funds or the application process.
