Touching Hearts, Changing Lives, Sharing the Light of Christ
Who: Camp Tekoa is the Western North Carolina Conference Camp of the United Methodist Church This camp provides a day camp for rising 1st-6th graders, resident camp for rising 3rd-12th graders, adventure camps for rising 6th-12th graders and special needs camps for all ages.
What: This camp is looking for resident camp counselors, adventure team staff, water adventure resource, and a waterfront director. You will get paid $150 per week as a first year counselor
When: It runs from June 5th-August 11th.
Where: The camp is in Hendersonville, NC.
Why: It will be a great summer experience where you will form close bonds and be a role model for the kids. If you like summer camps, this is a great opportunity.

Scottie's Place
Empower, Educate, and Enliven
Who: Scottie’s place is a nonprofit organization and Bonner partner whose mission is to empower, educate, and enliven homeless children through wilderness adventure.
What: This is a wilderness camp for homeless children. There are opportunities to serve as counselors.
When: There are four two-week sessions from June through August.
Where: The beautiful surroundings of West Virginia.
Why: If you enjoy working with kids with different needs and enjoy the wilderness, this is a great opportunity to make a difference in a homeless kid’s life.

Upstate Forever
Upstate Forever
Who: Upstate forever is a nonprofit, membership based organization that promotes sensible growth, advocates for sustainable development practices, and protects special places in the Upstate Region of South Carolina. They are working on projects such as promoting design standards for “big box” stores, availability of parks and open space, and downtown revitalization.
What: They are looking for a student interested in an unpaid intern position that will help with research, communications, and events coordination.
When: Summer 2005

Interfaith Worker Justice Summer Internship
The Interfaith Worker Justice (IWJ) Summer Internship is a collaborative project of Interfaith Worker Justice, Colleges and Universities, and local interfaith committees. The internship is designed for undergraduate students seeking to live out their faith commitment in a very tangible way.
This summer internship program begins in Chicago on June 19, 2005 for an intense week of training and orientation with social justice professionals and theologians. Interns will then travel to local interfaith committees around the country for eight weeks of hands-on service. Participants will reconvene in Chicago August 24-26 for reflection and exploring next steps.
The Internship will give undergraduate students the opportunity to:
Learn in-depth the principles and foundations of religious teachings
Witness workers' struggles for justice in the workplace
Work with local interfaith committees on issues facing workers, including living wage campaigns, affordable health
benefits, immigrant worker issues, and local organizing campaigns
Develop a wide range of skills, including coalition building, organizing, advocacy, public policy and communications
Integrate principles and theories of religious teachings with hands-on experience of working for social change
Increase ability to apply the principles of religious teachings to a wide range of vocational and social arenas.

Cherokee Kids Camp
A camp near Gaffney, SC, this camp is looking for counselors to in five different areas. They are looking for counselors in archery, canoeing, music & drama, nature & wilderness, and arts & crafts. Spartanburg Tenants Association Summer Program
The STAR Center resource center is looking for summer volunteers to help with children and youth from 1-3pm every day during the week in the summer. They operate an enrichment program and need people who are interested in monitoring areas such as: board games, play station, photography, and art.
