Prospective Majors

Dear Prospective Biology Major:

Greetings! If you are a freshman or sophomore and are interested in the Biology Major, I suspect that you have some questions about requirements, schedules and what you need to do to prepare yourself for life after Wofford.  By the second semester of your second year, you should have declared a major.   If you have not done so, just call Mrs. Roddy (4620) and schedule an appointment to do so.  Be sure to bring a Major Declaration Form to our meeting.  You may download one at http://www.wofford.edu/registrar/forms.aspx.

Once the official paperwork is processed, Mrs. Roddy will assign you an advisor within the biology department. Your advisor will be happy to answer your questions, help you plan your course schedules and discuss career plans.

The biology faculty are not only trying to give you the best education we can, but also are very interested in your intellectual, professional and personal development.

If you have questions or concerns, please drop by or make an appointment to talk with me. I look forward to working with you.

Very sincerely,

Dr. G.R. Davis

Department Chair
