Prospective Majors
Dear Prospective Biology Major:
Greetings! If you are a freshman or sophomore and are interested in the Biology Major, I suspect that you have some questions about requirements, schedules and what you need to do to prepare yourself for life after Wofford. By the second semester of your second year, you should have declared a major. If you have not done so, just call Mrs. Thomas (4620) and schedule an appointment with me. Be sure to bring the declaration forms and a copy of your transcript from the Registrar’s Office to our meeting.
Once the official paperwork is processed, I become your official advisor. I will be happy to answer your questions, help you plan your course schedules and discuss career plans. However, each of the biology faculty is willing and able to help you. So, don’t be shy about asking us questions.
The biology faculty are not only trying to give you the best education we can, but also are very interested in your intellectual, professional and personal development. Below is some information that you may find useful as you plan your schedule. Please read them carefully and keep them for reference.
If you have questions or concerns, please drop by or make an appointment to talk with me. I look forward to working with you.
Very sincerely,
Dr. S.
