During the week of June 12-16 there will be a number of music events offered off-campus. Some are free and open to the public. Others will require a small entry fee.
Thurday, 4:30 - 7:30 pm (free)
Music on Main: A weekly music (and beer-drinking) event sponsored by the city during the warmer months. It takes place downtown on Main Street in the shadow of our only “skyscraper.” The band for June 14 is Jackson Crossing, and they will play from 6:30 to 9:00. “These guys really enjoy the freedom and loose structure this “unplugged” format provides, allowing them to really stretch out with their original material and tastefully selected cover tunes.” See http://www.jacksonxing.com/ and http://www.cityofspartanburg.org/community_Interest/spartanburg_events/musiconmain/.
