Exercise Facilities for ASLE 2007 Conference at Wofford College
The Richardson Center at the northeastern end of campus will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. each day of the conference and is free for use by ASLE registrants (if your spouse/partner is traveling with you but not attending the meeting, he/she is welcome to use this facility but will need a pass). Your ASLE name badge will give you access to the facility (please be prepared to present it at any time you're using the facility). Please note that Wofford summer school students and faculty/staff members may be sharing these facilities with you.
Weight machines and free weights (room in background) are available.
Various treadmill, stair step, and cycling machines are available.
Locker rooms, each with four showers, are available for your use.
For Runners and Walkers:
There is a nice trail, called the Hub City Connector, for runners and walkers which spans a 2 mile distance (4 mile round trip) between Wofford and the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. There is a sign for the trail's beginning located on Evins Street (which runs between the Wofford Village and the dorms for ASLE guests).
There is also a track surrounding the soccer field which any runner/walker is welcome to use.
