Conference Hotel

The Spartanburg Marriott and Conference Center is a new facility with comfortable, oversized rooms and free parking. Just for ASLE, they will be providing great live music in the hotel's Cafe 299 each night (Wed - Fri). The conference rate for your room is $99.00/night, a substantial discount over the regular hotel rate. ASLE is able to make this price available through our contract with Marriott, and if the rooms cited in the contract are not filled, then ASLE will have to make up for the contract deficit.  Wofford College is just a 5 - 6 minute walk from the hotel. Wofford Village
Apartment style accommodations (opened in Fall 2006) include four private bedrooms (one twin bed each), two bathrooms, and a shared living room, kitchen, and dining room. Furnishings in common areas include dining table and four chairs and barstools. Linens (sheets, pillows, and towels) will be provided, but bring a clock and reading light as the rooms are sparsely furnished. Rocking chairs and/or swings are situated on each front porch.  Cost is $50/night.

Wofford Dorms
Each dorm suite has a shared common living space and two private bedrooms -- each with one twin bed and desk.  One bathroom is shared between two suites. Wofford will provide linens (sheets, pillows, and towels), but bring a clock and reading light as the rooms are sparsely furnished. Cost is $25/night for a shared suite (you will be assigned a same-gender roommate if you do not indicate a preferred roommate). A private suite is $35/night.

ASLE Tent Village on campus:

Each camper will have access to of one of the nearby fraternity houses for bathroom facilities and/or to escape severe weather as needed. Each small fraternity house has one restroom (only two students live in each house during the school year) and the houses are vacant in the summer. Sharing of these bathroom facilities will depend upon the number of campers. Cost is $7/night. No towels or linens will be provided for campers. Free parking is located just behind the fraternity houses (see campus map in your program).

Other Hotels
The Days Inn (about $40/night) is across the street from Wofford, but we do NOT recommend it unless your standards are low. Other "nice" hotels of Spartanburg are comparably priced ($89 - $99) to the conference rate at the Marriott and are 5 to 10 miles away from Wofford.
