Alumni Association

Lt. Col. (ret.) Sam Wood '36 came to Wofford Jan. 30, 1999 to launch a new chapter in the proud history of Army ROTC at the college.

He was the first of 35 alumni to sign the charter and by-laws for a new organization designed to foster the Wofford spirit, to provide opportunities for social and educational exchange related to the military, and to support leadership and service opportunities for military science students at Wofford, Converse, USC-Upstate, Limestone and Spartanburg Methodist colleges.

The following bylaws establish eligibility requirements for membership in the association:

A. Persons who have earned commissions in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard through Wofford College ROTC, and all currently enrolled cadets who are in good standing.

B. Former or current Wofford students, administrators, faculty, or staff who have demonstrated a special interest in the college's military science department and the officer training program.

C. Persons who have been extended an invitation to become a member by the Alumni Association Executive Council.

D. There shall be no dues required for active membership. All alumni, as defined above, shall be considered members of the ROTC Alumni Association.
