Family Weekend 2014 Schedule 



Ben Wofford Books | Wofford’s bookstore is located with frontage on North Church Street and parking beside the Papadopoulos Building. It will be open during the weekend on Friday from 9 am – 6 pm, Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm, and Sunday from noon – 3 pm. Take home a memento from your weekend at Wofford!  

Jostens | While picking up your Wofford memorabilia at the bookstore, talk with a Josten's representative about ordering your class ring! There will be someone available on Friday 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm and Saturday 10 am - 2 pm. 




8:30 am – 2 pm |  Ticket Pick-up : Tickets not previously mailed will be available in the Alumni Office, Papadopoulos Building. Tickets may also be picked up at the tent near Main Building on Saturday. 

2 – 5 pm |  PAC Meeting : Fall meeting of the Parents Advisory Council (advisory panel of parents who serve as liaison between the college and current Wofford parents), location TBA. Bill & Susan Oldham are the chairpersons of the council. 

3:30 – 5 pm |  Study Abroad Reception for Families of Spring 2015 Participants : Families of students who have applied to study abroad during the Spring 2015 semester are invited to attend. Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about resources available to them and their students. Gray-Jones Room, Burwell Building. 

3:30 – 5 pm |  Meetings with Professors : Parents are invited to make appointments to meet with professors during this time. Students may arrange the appointments or families may contact professors directly. Visit the online directory for contact information. 

5:15 – 6:30 pm |  Class of 2015 Reception : Chairman of the Wofford Board of Trustees Harold Chandler ‘71 invites all seniors and their families to this reception honoring the Class of 2015. Great Oaks Hall, Milliken Science Center. A formal invitation will be mailed. Click here to register and see more details. 


7:30 pm | Friday Night Talent Show: Students, pair up with your parents for a chance to win prizes for SCATE’s talent show and open mic night! Campus Life Building.



8:30 – 9:30 am |  Heritage Society Reception : Wofford students and alumni who have had a parent, grandparent, or child graduate from Wofford are invited to this annual breakfast. Look for your formal invitation in the mail. 

9 am – 1:30 pm |  Ticket Pick-up and Information Tent : PAC members will be in attendance. Pick up your nametags, ask questions, get directions, or purchase tickets. Tickets purchased in advance and not mailed will be here for pick-up. Lawn near Main Building.  

9 am – noon |  Meetings with Professors : Parents are invited to make appointments to meet with professors. Students may arrange the meetings in advance or parents may contact professors directly. Visit the online directory at wofford.edu for faculty contact information. 

10 – 11:30am |  Open House : The Space in The Mungo Center. Students and families are invited to meet the staff and ask questions about The Space and its programs. First Floor, Michael S. Brown Village Center. 



11 am – 1 pm | Family Weekend LunchAll Wofford parents, students, and other family members are invited for a luncheon with tailgate favorites. Wofford students with valid ID eat free; Adults: $15, Children: $10. Under the tents, Horseshoe side, Main Building 

11:30 – noon |  Town Hall : Conversation Question and Answer Session with President Nayef Samhat. McMillan Theater, Campus Life Building.  


1:30 pm | KICK-OFF Wofford vs. The Citadel : Wear your black and gold and come cheer the Terriers to victory in Gibbs Stadium. All tickets are reserved, $27 per adult and $12 per child (ages 3-12). Students have general admission tickets for the student section. If you want your student to sit with you, a reserved ticket should be purchased.  

6-8 pm | Falling for Family Weekend: Wofford Activities Council proudly presents Falling for Family Weekend! Students and their families are invited to stop by the Pavilion for heavy hors devours, yard games, and lots of family fun. This event is free to attend and no registration is necessary. We look forward to seeing you there!​ Located in the Pavilion.
