| It's a Chautauqua tradition to enjoy a picnic before the start of a performance. You're encouraged to bring a picnic basket, cooler, blanket or chairs, and enjoy a meal on the front lawn of Main Building!
6:30 p.m. - The Trinity United Methodist Church Singers will perform popular World War II-era songs, U.S.O-style!
7:00 p.m. - Performance begins (introduction by Dr. Mark Byrnes, Wofford history professor).

About Richard Marold
A Chautauqua scholar-performer for the past 12 years, Richard holds the MA in Humanities from Penn State University and has taught history at Colorado State University in Pueblo, Co. He has portrayed FDR over 130 times in the past six years. He has also done over 350 performances of Johnny Appleseed and Winfield Scott Stratton, Colorado gold field multimillioniare. He is the author of Winfield Scott Stratton–Reluctant Millionaire and editor of the quarterly journal Cheyenne Mountain Kiva, which covers the history of the central Rocky Mountains. A native of Colorado Springs, Marold is a Chautauquan with Colorado Humanities and a teacher in their Young Chautauqua program. He has twice been a guest as FDR on The Thomas Jefferson Hour hosted by Clay Jenkinson on NPR.
