Wofford College seeks to “provide a superior liberal arts education that prepares its students for extraordinary and positive contributions to society.” [1] The college evaluates student achievement with a range of indicators including retention rates, graduation rates, job placement/graduate school acceptance rates and licensing exam pass rates for teacher licensure candidates.

Completion and Retention

At the college, the office of institutional research collects retention and graduation rates on all entering cohorts.

Job Placement and Graduate School Acceptance

Career Services gathers data annually on job placement and graduate school acceptance.

98% of the Class of 2015 are employed or in graduate school.

   

Teacher Licensure Exams

Wofford College tracks student achievement on teacher licensure exams. We track both the Praxis II exam and the Principles of Learning and Teaching Exam—both required for South Carolina Licensure.

Eight students completed the Teacher Education Program in 2014-2015 academic year.
