Do you want to study sacred texts or the ways that contemporary religion is practiced? Are you interested in the ways in which various cultures have pondered deep existential questions? Do you want to spend six weeks in the Middle East on an archeological dig?
Religion permeates our culture and has often been at the root of many of the world's leading issues. Studying religion leads to a better understanding of how people understand themselves and their lives. A religion major or minor is perfect if you love to ask questions about the meaning of life and about what it means to be human. While many religion departments focus on either the academic study of religion or on pre-ministerial training, Wofford's religion department allows you to do both, and more. Religion majors go on to a wide variety of careers, including law, business, ministry, and education.
