Wilkins was confirmed as U.S. attorney for the South Carolina District
in 2008 after serving as assistant U.S. attorney for the past three
years. During his tenure in the office he was recognized with the U.S.
Attorney's Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Asset Forfeiture
Program (2007), the U.S. Attorney's Award for Outstanding Prosecution
(2006) and the U.S. Secret Service Award for Outstanding Prosecution
(2006). He earned the Young Lawyer of the Year Award given by the
American Board of Trial Advocates in 2003. Prior to joining the U.S.
attorney's office, Wilkins served as a staff attorney, office of general
counsel for Lockheed Martin Aircraft Argentina. He also practiced law
with the firm of Leatherwood Walker Todd & Mann in Greenville, S.C.,
and served as an adjunct professor at Greenvile Technical College.
