Career Highlights:

In 2010, Margaret Key joined Burson-Marsteller as head of their Korean operations after more than a decade with Edelman public relations, most recently as managing director of Edelman Japan, where she oversaw one of the largest offices in the firm’s Asia-Pacific region. Her expertise is in leading multinational enterprises and healthcare communications. While with Edelman, Key created Korea’s first medical communications training program and has trained more than 300 medical professional across the county. She has been honored with Edelman’s Employee of the Year in Seoul and with the company’s 2007 Quality Hero Award. In addition, Key introduced flexible working hours, longer maternity leaves, special areas for breastfeeding and other accommodations for women in the Seoul and Japan offices of Edelman.

Key is currently a writer for Nikkei Women Online, and she was previously a regular contributor to one of Korea’s leading general dailies, Hankook Ilbo. She has also written for Korea’s top medical trade publication, Korea Doctor’s Weekly.
