In promoting the Texas Children's Hospital, Hipp has worked with national media outlets including Oprah, Today Show, NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, ABC World News with Charles Gibson, LMNO Productions/TLC (The Learning Channel), Discovery Health, New York Times, People magazine, Parents magazine and NPR. During graduate school, she completed an internship with the business communications department of the Houston Astros Major League baseball team. Hipp and her dog, Griffin, volunteer in the Caring Critters program, an assisted pet therapy program that visits sick patients and families in the hospital. She's an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, the Houston Downtown Alliance's Young Professionals Organization, and the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program of Houston.
