Career Highlights:

In July 2011, Melvin accepted a position as reporter and daytime anchor on MSNBC. Before relocating to New York, Melvin served the Washington, D.C., market as a reporter and anchor on NBC-owned WRC-TV. Melvin got his start in TV reporting with WIS in Columbia, S.C., in 2001. Eventually working his way to weekday anchor with an Emmy Award to his credit, Melvin started as a featured reporter on the morning news, known for his roving "Craig Cam" live. He also anchored WIS News 10 Saturday morning and the weekend editions of the News at 6 p.m. and Nightcast.

Before leaving Columbia, Melvin mentored young people through several local charities. He was a member of the board of the South Carolina Philharmonic, the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday after the Masters Tournament, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
