Spiritual Cinema Circle

Spiritual Cinema Circle features short and full-length films handpicked from festivals around the world. Each is a movie with a story that matters and reminds us what it means to be human. The films explore new possibilities and help us understand more of the world around us. Spiritual Cinema Circle is held twice each semester at 7:00 pm in Leonard Auditorium, Main Building. There is no admission charge. Some previously screened films are listed below.

Eve and the Fire Horse Two sisters growing up in a Chinese family in Canada attempt to understand religion from a uniquely childlike perspective. Picking and choosing their favorite parts of each religion, they form their own faith- and then face the challenge of forging a place for this faith within their traditional Buddhist family. An incredible spiritual journey into the heart and soul of what religion is and what religion does for each of us on our own individual journeys. 93 minutes in English and Cantonese with English subtitles.
