"Prepare for struggle and famine for the sake of the revolution."  The above poster was employed during Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution as part of a massive propaganda campaign.  It alludes to the Communist Party's historic Long March, and urges the population to prepare itself for what the administration saw as an impending armed conflict with the Soviet Union.  The people portrayed will march "a thousand miles to galvanize our red hearts."
