SPARTANBURG, SC-- The Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Wofford College will host the third annual "5K for Karl" race/walk on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 9:30 a.m. on campus. The event is held in memory of Karl Edward Alexander, 19, vivacious young man and member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, who passed away in 2010.
The 5K for Karl race is a moderate course showcasing the beauty of Wofford College, a national arboretum. The course has rolling hills on pavement and sidewalks. You can view the course on

here. Packet pick up will be at 8 a.m. and the race will start at 9:30 a.m.
The cost to enter is $20 per person before Oct. 19 and $25 after Oct. 19; T-shirts are not guaranteed after Oct. 19. All proceeds will go toward funding the Karl Alexander Memorial Scholarship to benefit a future Wofford student.
Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers as well as the top male and female finishers in each age group: Under 18; 18-22; 23-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50 and over.
